Racing at Camberley Kart Club
Last Updated: Monday, January 30th 2012 at 8:43 PM
The fourth Saturday of each month is currently reserved for race meetings, when only those people with a competition licence and a race-worthy Kart are allowed to compete. These monthly race meetings are held under the rules and conditions laid down by the Motor Sports Association (MSA), the controlling body for all motor sport in this country, who also issue the necessary competition licences.
On race days the circuit opens at 07:00 am with signing on starting no later than 08:00 am. Scrutineering is open from 8am. Drivers Briefing is at 09:45. First practice session 10:00 am. Finish 5pm approx.
The address of the Motor Sports Association is :- Motor Sports House, Riverside Park, Colnbrook, Slough SL3 0HG Telephone 01753 765000 Website www.msauk.org From here you can obtain a Competition Licence and a set of Regulations (generally referred to as ‘The Blue Book’).
Before the MSA will issue a race licence for the first time, all novice drivers must complete an approved course at an Association of Racing Karts School (generally referred to as an ‘ARKS Course’). We have two instructors registered with the MSA to conduct such courses at Blackbushe, for details please contact Mike Carr or Ian Johnson . ARKS Tests are carried out at the circuit click here for more information.
