After a committed effort by our regular work party members the final tyres have been bolted together and kerbs laid. Following a track inspection it has been agreed that the new layout may be used for the next practice and of course the first race of the 2014 calendar.

John Surtees, OBE, has kindly agreed to attend our Trophy Presentation Evening, he will be presenting the trophies to all winners.
This is a great honour for our club as John is a legend in the world of motor sports, he is the only person to have ever won World Championships on both 2 and 4 wheels.
He was 500cc World Champion in 1956, 1958-1960 and Formula 1 World Champion in 1964.
It should be a great evening and one for everybody to remember.

We have now received planning approval for a track alteration and are in discussions with track designers to improve aspects of the existing circuit to introduce new opportunities for overtaking – further updates to follow.

*** Please Note – Practice on 20th April will be on a reverse circuit ***
Based on the feedback from the last ‘reverse circuit’ practice we are repeating the experience on the 20th April.
Regular entrants and newcomers alike – experience a ‘different’ circuit for a day.

Pit Space Allocations for 2013
As in previous years it is possible to reserve pit spaces from the first 3 blocks of spaces nearest the track for use on race day. A diagram of the current allocation and a booking form is available here.

A very big THANK YOU you to all of the volunteers (especially to the younger members) for your efforts in clearing the track , dummy grid and parc ferme from snow/slush on Sat 23rd. Although the meeting was eventually cancelled by the MSA officials your efforts were very much appreciated by ALL.
