Race Day – Controlled Tyres

Friday, December 4th, 2015

** Race Day – Controlled Tyres **
The committee have decided that from September 2015 onwards you will only be permitted to use ONE set of slick tyres for the entire meeting. So whatever tyres you go out on for your first heat will be the tyres that you use for the entire meeting, we felt that in the past this ruling was not needed but we have noticed a growing trend of people fitting new sets on for the finals or even using 2 or 3 sets for the meeting. This applies to all classes, the Gearbox classes remain open.

Club President – Worthy Cause

Friday, September 11th, 2015

Camberley Kart Club President, Ian Johnson has been persuaded by friends he races with (classic sidecars these days) to shave his moustache for charity – Prostate Cancer. The shave took place at the Donington Park Classic Motorcycle Festival a couple of weeks ago.  To date the total amount raised for Prostate cancer is just over £1,700 but the Justgiving page www.justgiving.com/michelleluhr is still open for donations.  As Ian said the idea is to raise awareness in men of a certain age.  Everyone knows about breast screening and cervical screening for women but ask a man if he has had a PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen) blood test and he doesn’t have a clue what your talking about and it could save his life.
